Depending on the number of objects (mail folders, calendar items, contacts, and tasks) you have in your account, it can take minutes for your quota usage information to be retrieved.On the Storage page, you can see used space and the maximum mailbox storage size. In the Settings window, go to General > Storage. At the bottom of the display pane, click View all Outlook settings. From within 'Folder Properties' screen, click on Storage. In the top right corner of the web interface of Outlook Online, click the settings icon.Right-click on your account name within your mail folder listing and select Folder > Properties from the sub-menu.Note: These steps assume you are connected to your MIT Email account via Exchange.

You can now see the amount of free space left and the number of items you have in each folder, in the bottom left hand corner of the Outlook bar. Microsoft Outlook can run out of rules space if you are connected to Microsoft Exchange Server (including Office 365).

Limits Outlook is often configured with a Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox, which has a default attachments file size limit of only 10 megabytes. A window will pop up showing you the amount of space currently. Storage of 1.5 TB sounds fun until a user needs to find a specific email.

Click on the first option Quota Information and you will see that it switches to the 'On' mode. Hover the mouse pointer over your mailbox name.

Right-click anywhere on the bottom Outlook bar.

By default, this feature is turned off, so you must turn it on to view quota information.

If your mail account uses a Microsoft Exchange server (like Hotmail, Microsoft Live, O365, or a lot of corporate mail systems), then this parameter will determine how much mail is downloaded to your computer.

This limit only affects your mail (and your RSS feeds). Note: These steps assume you are connected to your MIT Email account via Exchange. Outlook still downloads all of your calendar appointments, contacts, tasks, and everything else.
